Could not have asked for a better, more welcoming experience for our 3.5 year old son than what we received with Malara Eyecare. Not only was everyone patient and encouraging but took their time with us. From our first visit with Matt who played right along with our little “spidey” and took his time with making sure we knew what to expect, answered all our questions and just made it very enjoyable to Michelle, when it was time to pick up our son’s glasses, you have the Patience of a saint!

From when you walk through the door to when you leave, the staff is wonderful. They are kind, patient, and compassionate. I get anxiety over doctor’s appointments and was up front with the tech as well as Dr. Durkin. Both were understanding and gentle. They walked me through the entire process and couldn’t have been more helpful and most importantly informative. Very happy with my first visit and glad I chose Malara Eye Care as my eye doctor.
Always a great experience! I usually see Dr. Smith, who is always fantastic. Today I saw Dr. Maeda for the first time and she was incredible. She was extremely thorough and took her time with my exam. I have ADHD and will interrupt and ask the same question 4 times and forget the answer. She was extremely patient and kind and answered all my questions every time and explained everything in understandable detail. Honestly every single person I've ever interacted with in the 5 or so years I've been going there has been friendly, funny, and makes the appointments fun. I highly recommend this practice to anyone, especially if your experience at your current doctor is just okay or like a normal appointment. Call and check if they take your insurance. You won't regret it. The practice is beautiful and everyone there is so kind.
