Dr Flanigan saved our dog's life! She cared deeply about Molly's welfare and treated her as if she were her own dog. We will be forever grateful to her because she saved our Molly's life. Her entire staff was warm and welcoming and also truly cared about Molly's well being. Thank you, Lake Placid Animal Hospital for all you do for our pets!

I asked around for a vet and heard very mixed reviews about Dr. Flanigan. I decided to see for myself as my dog has anxiety in the car and I didn't want to travel to Plattsburgh. My first impression was the place was beat and the lighting terrible. A person came in first who never introduced herself or told me their role there. I was treated like a stupid person (I have a masters degree in science) and reprimanded when I told her the dog food that I give my dog. The "doctor" came in (never introduced herself ) and again lectured me on dog food. Then told me she would have to do an "exam" to give my dog her shots as she was never been seen there. No exam took place (at this point I am upset) and I was charged over 50 dollars for this. I had requested to wait on heart worm testing till the spring. We went into another room to cut my dogs nails and as I walked in the vet and tech were WHISPERING to each other. At this point, I asked if there was a problem and they said no. I LOVE MY DOG so much and I WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING TO HURT HER OR WITHHOLD ANYTHING SHE NEEDED. I left and was so upset it took me hours to calm. THE ONLY positive thing about this visit was the lovely women at the front desk.

We first came here while on vacation when our dog got quilled by a porcupine. Dr. Flanigan is great and the staff is wonderful. Now, we're on our next dog, and we still make an appointment at least once a year to stay with this practice. definitely recommend.
