“A few years ago my Daughter, at the time 7 years old was a yellow belt, my Mother and I took her and my niece to the game farm. They were releasing a batch of goats into the pen to be fed from the bottles they sell. Now you have to picture this, 30 baby goats running towards 20 or so children who are also running towards the goats. (Injuries waiting to happen) Mother's are screaming at their children to show down, and being totally ignored. I yelled Front Position (which is a command that a Sensei or Instructor will say and the meaning is... STOP whatever it is that you are doing and face forward) Well my daughter stopped so fast that there was actually a cloud of dirt at her heals. In astonishment the mother next to me said "what the heck was that" to which my response was "Cutting Edge Kempo Karate" and worth every penny (with the biggest smile on my face) Sensei Nick taught my daughter a lot, not only about karate, defense but most of all respect.“

L.I. Ninjutsu Centers of East Islip Martial Arts Schools

“Most of the time people leave reviews when something is still new or they have a bad experience. I have not trained at LI Ninjutsu Centers for about 20 years, but only now am starting to realize all the benefits that I received wile training as a young man. As a troubled youth coming from a broken home I was not heading in the best direction. When I was enrolled for classes, it completely changed my trajectory. I was learning Discipline Responsibility, and Confidence only to name a few. I made new friends Aswell training partners. The Staff was all knowledgeable and always willing to answer my many questions. I took my training very seriously; within the first couple years I was showing up right after school helping to ready the Dojo for the days classes and even helping with the younger kid classes. As the years went on I would travel to Japan test for my black belt in front of the Grandmaster achieving the rank. I was teaching at the school for a brief time in Port Jefferson before graduating college with a masters in corporate finance and entering the work force. Not only was Shihan Allie always a role model I could look up to and ask for advice, but he became a true mentor. Aside from all the training, he taught me about investments and made sure I understood the importance of compounding interest. Shihan even helped me start a business when I got my drivers license. I started an Auto Detailing business and was a great source of income in my young adulthood. He helped me with things like making a flyer and just general business practices that also used until the time I entered the workforce. Most importantly to me it was the way of life and the openness to a different type of culture. Even to this day whether its sweeping the floor or putting together budget proposals for a large project, I always want it to be the best it can be and each time making everything better. I would recommend this school and more specifically Shihan Allie to anyone who is looking for quality martial arts training, Guidance in life or maybe even a youth looking to fill in some of those missing pieces needed for success in today’s world.
If you are looking to become a well rounded martial artist this is also the school, Shihan Allie always believed in cross training. He would always have other instructors from all styles come in and teach, or we would go to their school. From instructors that focused more on striking, to ones that taught knife and stick fighting and everything in between. One of the things im thankful for is the concentration in ground fighting or grappling. The traditional katas were fun, weapons training was great (Sword was my favorite). it was a perfect mix of traditional style and real world application. In my opinion ground fighting was the most practical for me. Over 90% of physical confrontations end on the ground. Makes sense to train for that. I think everyone should train in some type of martial arts during their life. To this day the Break falls and Rolling (Ukemi & Kaiten) have saved me from potential hospital visits. Just this past winter we had record breaking snow and ice. I Slipped on a spot I thought was snow and went down. Rather than panicking putting down a wrist or elbow or something, I did a side fall distributing my weight across the side of my body and got up with out a scratch. I cant say enough good things about the importance of training. Try out some classes or contact the school. They will answer any questions you may have. Best time to start anything is yesterday, Next best time is Today!“
