This school is EXCELLENT! I learned Karate here as a child and have now enrolled my twin 3 year olds full time. It is such a great environment and a very personal experience. The owner knows every family and greets everyone each day. Always a positive experience when walking in the door. My children are beyond excited to go to karate class every day. My children are not only learning Karate, but life lessons. I love how this school focuses on respect and discipline. They come to ESK to exercise their bodies and minds. Thank you ESK for being such a great place, looking forward to many years here.

Excellent dojo! I've been attending here since the mid 90's and the programs for kids and adults are fantastic. Family oriented school with convenient class schedules and multiple Saturday classes available. Very involved in the community for over 50 years. The senior staff has over 150 years of combined martial arts experience in one building. Very few schools can boast that.

EMPIRE STATE KARATE is going on 55 years in business in Smithtown...and there is not another dojo that can compete. My whole family goes here, all at different stages of getting our Black Belts, and soome of us even assist with teaching. If it wasn't for the kindness of the owner, sensei's and other students, I would not be posting this...and they are well deserving! First of all, anyone to say anything negative had to have done something negative at the school or to its students, and this I know personally. So always check it out for yourself! With so much to offer it's students: karate, MMA, Kickboxing, After School Program -with school pickup, Summer Kamp, Birthday Parties, Demo and Tournament teams and training, Parents Night Out, Bully-Buster and other Seminars, and so much more, you definitely have a lot to choose from. And with competitive prices and unlimited classes with a flexible schedule, there is something for everyone. This is a real family dojo, and for families that have a child with a learning disability or Autism, they are so great with the kids, patient, kind and understanding. It is almost like a specialty of theirs.
