We booked a sensory haircut for my son, and the magic started the second we walked through the door. Because I mentioned clippers were a trigger, Randilyn had them all locked up before we even arrived, which helped him relax instantly. Before starting, he got to pick a fidget toy from a prize chest to keep, along with having plenty of other sensory tools to play with during the trim.
Randilyn’s patience is unmatched. She let him watch Minecraft videos on my phone and never pressured him to talk—if he didn't answer a question, she seamlessly answered it herself or just kept cutting. He made it through the entire haircut with zero meltdowns and even asked the next morning when he could go back!
