About Black Tie II French Cleaners
Black Tie II French Cleaners is considered the best in Jackson Heights by some, with many recommending it. Customers report good and reliable dry cleaning, with fair prices and friendly service. It is a plant-on-premises cleaners, which is seen as a big plus. The location is very convenient in the middle of Jackson Heights. However, experiences can vary. The shirt laundering and pressing service is sent out and is found to be mediocre, better at other places in Queens. Some staff at the front can be abrupt, interrupt, and are condescending, which reflects badly on the business. Even the owner has been fantastic and friendly in the past but was abrupt, dismissive, and rushed during one visit. For basic dry cleaning, they are reliable and nice and never lose anything, but for alterations beyond basic needs, this is not the place to go.
Just moved to neighborhood. Went to this place and first day in the could not find my shirt.
Made 2 trips back so they could locate it. The second big issue is that I usually buy expensive clothing because I love clothing and shoes. Call me a dandy! But I took in 3 expensive 2 shirts and when I got them back they put holes in the bottom of the t-shirts with those staples they use. I was livid. Trying to find another cleaners around here. Obviously they do not care that I spend a lot on my clothes.
They are a plant-on-premises cleaners which is a big plus in my book when I evaluate cleaners. However the shirt launder and press service is sent out. I have found the dry cleaning to be good (not awesome, but good and totally acceptable). However the shirt laundering and pressing to be really mediocre and it is better at other places in Queens. The location is very convenient in the middle of Jackson Heights. The young woman that are usually at the front taking your clothes are the big drawback to the business; consistently these women do not saw thank you, are abrupt and do not even let one finish a sentence without interrupting, and are condescending (like hello, it's dry cleaning, why am I being condescended? LOL). They reflect really badly on the business.
In previous experiences with the owner / manager Alex , it's been fantastic. He was really friendly when I mentioned I was a new local and just moved to the neighborhood. I went back months later because I trust him for at least good customer service and good quality. However this visit he was very abrupt and somewhat dismissive and he didn't seem to really be listening to me. Felt rushed and dismissed this time. Maybe he was just rushing but it was a little odd . I'd like to continue supporting my local shops. Just this one time was a bizarre experience.
