“Nate and team worked on our house back in June 2024. It was worth the wait to have Nate here. We were supposed to convert a nonfunctional, non ventilated not “built to code” room off our garage into something more functional, but Nate took a look at it closely and gave us his honest opinion before starting the job - that he could fix the room, add a door, and address the roof as we had planned, but he worried that years from now, the slightly cracked patio and slightly uneven foundation would cause the room to sink and have issues that would lead to it needing fixed again. We decided then and there to tear the room down and now we have a long patio that we grill on and I’m so happy with the result. I think other contractors might have just done the job as we indicated, trying to make that work, or pushed us into a much higher priced job and either would not have really considered the flaws that would have created more issues or would have just done the job they were asked to do. We found out shortly after that the previous homeowner had installed the room with a buddy, which was why it was done so poorly.

Nate and team also installed fans in our bathrooms and had to put baffles in our attic to increase airflow. Nate was the only professional to advise us that our ridge vent was covered (by the previous homeowner who did the roof himself and didn’t keep that clear) and we had a home inspector and an environmental safety inspector both look at the attic before him. Instead of just having his team do the job we agreed upon, Nate told us what he saw and installed gables for us to fix this issue.

I just was very impressed with Nate’s knowledge and transparency through the entire process. He looked at our potential other jobs and shared his expertise as well. He doesn’t hesitate to share his opinion / expertise. His wife Crystal was always friendly to communicate with, and even though we waited a little longer than we first anticipated for them to start the job, we would hire Nate again in a heartbeat, and have other work on our house needing done in the next few years that I hope Nate will take on. I trust his expertise and would feel safe with him leading the contractor work on our house. We learned of Nate through my parents, who had Nate fix a major foundation issue on their house and side their house, put new windows in and new decks, and liked their result. My dad also was very impressed with Nate’s knowledge, as my grandpa was a contractor all his life, so that is saying something.
