He also offers advice that is within your budget and matches your taste. I really needed this railing in a rush to get a CO for my house and he was here within days of my request, despite his busy schedule.
Every time I walk up and down my stairs I am so in love with this railing.
He's very knowledgeable in many aspects of building.
The original contractor who worked on my house, whom I had to fire, installed my stairs a little crooked and lopsided and he explained it to me when I asked him about it. He did not volunteer any negative feedback as he is a professional and respects all fellow tradesmen. I asked him his opinion and analysis of what was going on because I could see it.
I respect him highly and recommend him very strongly.

I had my basement stairs done recently the guys at Step By Step were amazing. Cleaned up afterwards better than I would have thought. Very professional. And no question was too small for Rob the owner to address it and take care of it. Amazing. So glad companies like this with old-school values still exist. Amazing job. I loved everything about it.
