“Dr Wendy Weinstein is the first prescriber out of many to actually know how to medicate me. I've been working with her for going on 2 years now(2024) and she is wonderful. If she disagrees with something I suggest, she always explains it in a way that I understand and I know that if I need clarification on any decision she makes, she will give it to me. When I first came to her in Brylin, she didn't invalidate me when I asked about ECT, and when I went to her a few months later in outpatient finally decided on ECT after a few medication adjustments, she agreed and did not try to force me to continue to try medication adjustments. One of the perks about having her as my psychiatrist is that if/when I need to be hospitalized, I can coordinate with her so that I can continue being under her care while at Brylin hospital. She is overall a delightful psychiatrist who I wholeheartedly trust with my medications, which is a lot for me to say because a psychiatrist almost killed me with meds once.“
