I have been with Dr.Weinstein for 9yrs as of July 2023. I absolutely LOVE her!! I have NEVER had a problem with her staff. They have always been very nice & professional with me. No they may not answer the phone all the time but they are a busy practice & I've always received a call back either the same day or the very next day. Dr. Weinstein has helped me come out of a very deep depression i was in for 2yrs recently. She has always been great with me. Also as patients we already know if we miss an appointment without calling we would automatically be dismissed as a patient. Well in December of 2018 i had a grand mall seizure while driving & of course my mind was not top notch afterwards & i missed my appointment. I received a letter saying I was no longer a patient with the practice. Well I called the office & explained the situation & not only was i allowed to continue being a patient with Dr. Weinstein but she also waived the fee for missing an appointment. She did not have to do that but she did because she is an amazing Dr. I actually have been going to my appointment when there was an irate patient waiting outside the building when we had to call the office when we were there for our appointment if it was after 2pm due to the buildings receptionist going home at that time & nobody would b there to let us in. And this woman tried to get in the building when i was let in because she was mad she missed her appointment & therefore was no longer a patient there. I was embarrassed for her for acting the way she was. It was more than likely because she would no longer be getting adderol or valium or something like that. She had no good excuse as to why she missed her appointment by an hour. She claimed they didn't answer the phone but i had no problem getting through to the office at all at any time while we had to do it that way. We do not have to call the office to let us in the building for our appointment since the receptionist is now there again after 2pm to buzz us in. So really Dr. Weinstein is amazing the office staff is amazing. If the Dr was not a very good Dr i don't think she would be invited to do so many news appearances. They would not have a Dr on the show giving bad advice. I hope to continue being a patient there for as long as she is practicing. Dr. Weinstein thank you so much for helping me get out of my deep depression. That was the darkest time in my life & if she didn't change my depression meds because she listened to me & is a great Dr i would probably still be sleeping 16hrs a day not being much of a human being at all.
I saw this doctor a while ago, but I was reading a news article she was quoted in and after reading the reviews, I thought it important to add my own experience. The appointments are super short, yes, but she's a psychiatrist not a psychologist so I gave that a pass. I would say besides the first appointment the longest I spent in her office was 5 minutes. The reason I left her a low review is that she over prescribes A LOT and goes off label. I did not get dropped from her practice, I left before she could drop me but when I went to a different psychiatrist he was very concerned about my doses and medications. I honestly love Dr Weinstein I worked with her a brylin she is a very good doctor and actually truly care about her patients yes she's quick but thorough she is rated one of the best psychiatrists and she definitely lives up to it
