“I cannot thank McClelland Animal Hospital enough for saving our Khloe! I wanted to give a special thank you to Dr. Carrig and Dr. Souza for taking the time to explain the process and being able to see my dog quickly and getting the surgery done same day! Without them our Khloe wouldn’t be here today! I cannot recommend this place enough. Lastly, ALWAYS get a second opinion if I didn’t come to McClelland my dog wouldn’t be here! Thank you ??“

“I cannot say enough about Jeannine and the amazing work she does at Canine Complex & Friends! From the moment Teddy (my cavapoo) and I walked through the door, I felt an immediate sense of calm. It was like doggy yoga for both of us—minus the awkward downward dog. Jeannine’s knowledge is next-level, but what really blew me away was the safe, supportive, and positive environment she creates. Teddy and I both feel completely at ease—he was wagging, I was breathing, and we just thoroughly enjoy our training time together every week. I’ve tried plenty of training approaches before, but Jeannine’s trauma-informed, dog-centered methods are a game-changer. No gimmicks, no power struggles—just learning how to truly communicate with my pup. Teddy has gone from “cute chaos” to “confident and relaxed little man,” and I’m forever grateful. Thank you, Jeannine, for your patience, wisdom, and humor. Teddy and I can’t wait to keep learning with you“

“After getting a young kitten for the very first time, my mind was bombarded with questions and fear of the unknown. Thankfully, I was able to speak with the McClelland staff and schedule a new patient appointment with no problem. When we arrived, we were quickly greeted with a friendly welcome. All the staff members were attentive and courteous. Dr. Carrig provided a thorough exam on our kitten, while answering our questions and fully addressing our concerns. You can tell he is very knowledgeable, and passionate about his profession. We know we are in great care in his hands and look forward to many years of visiting McClelland! 10/10 for outstanding service!“

“I want to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation for my mentor, Chuck Bostick. When I look at where I am today in the world of protection dog training—and more importantly, where I’m headed—I’m fully aware that Chuck played a major role in shaping that path. He didn’t just teach me skills; he set me up for long-term, sustainable success.

From the first day I trained under him, Chuck treated me not just as a student but as someone he believed could become great with the right guidance. He didn’t hold back knowledge, didn’t gatekeep, didn’t rush anything. Instead, he broke things down with a level of detail and patience that only someone who truly cares about the craft—and the people learning it—can offer. There’s a difference between someone who can train dogs and someone who can build dog trainers. Chuck does both at an elite level.

He taught me how to think, not just how to follow instructions. He made sure I understood why we do things the way we do, how every action affects the dog’s mind, confidence, drive, and stability. Whether we were working on grip development, drive channeling, obedience under pressure, or the finer points of reading a dog’s mental state, he always emphasized clarity, fairness, and purpose. That foundation alone is something a lot of trainers never get, and it’s something I value every single day.

But what truly separates Chuck is his integrity. He leads by example. His standards are high—not because he wants to make things difficult, but because he wants his students to achieve excellence. He showed me what it takes to produce real protection dogs: the discipline, the consistency, the ability to adapt, and the mindset required to do this work at a professional level. I never felt judged for what I didn’t know; instead, he gave me confidence to keep improving and pushed me to levels I didn’t even know I was capable of reaching.

Chuck also taught me the business side and the responsibility that comes with this industry. It’s not just about making dogs look good in videos. It’s about producing safe, reliable, balanced animals and being the type of trainer people can trust. He showed me the standards of professionalism that separate true trainers from hobbyists. That mentorship is priceless.

When I look ahead at my goals—opening my own protection dog company, producing high-level working dogs, and becoming a respected trainer in this field—I see Chuck’s influence in every part of that vision. He gave me the blueprint, the mindset, and the confidence. You can’t put a price on that. He didn’t just prepare me to train dogs—he prepared me to succeed.

I’m genuinely grateful for everything he’s poured into me. A mentor like Chuck is rare, and the impact he’s had on my life and career is something I’ll always appreciate. I wouldn’t be on the path I’m on today without him.

Thank you, Chuck, for setting me up for ultimate success in protection dogs and for believing in me long before I believed in myself.“
