“My thick haired peopleeeee this is your place! I’m extremely particular about having my hair cut or colored. Blame it on being my mom’s test subject during beauty school as a kid. I’ve been seeing the shop owner, Lauren, and based on my experience I would see anyone she recommends or hires.

I have thick hair, many layers, very dense in the back, with a wavy texture. I needed a stylist that can handle shears and face framing. Lauren does an exceptional job on my cut and style. Recently she did my first fantasy color and it was worth every penny!! I’ll attach a pic for reference. Their goal is to send you home with a lasting color so Lauren charged me a little extra to add the color into my weekly hair mask!! Who does that??

Not to mention the atmosphere is calm, welcoming, fun and friendly. I feel like the stylists are so attentive and kind!! Queer friendly, everything friendly honestly. I have a bunch of friends who have been going to Atomic for years and some do regular fantasy color, undercuts, bald and beard, mullet. It’s not a tunnel vision salon. It’s unique to you, as it should be.“
