although the frenchman was timely and cooperative, I had some issues...when they came to clean the units at a cost of around $800, I told them in addition to cleaning, to make sure the units were working properly...when they returned them, it was hard to get the apt. below 77 degrees even after running the units for hours...when they dropped the units back, the tech told me not to repair the units again because they were too old...they came back and said the units were working ok, but they were making a lot of noise and even at full tilt, there was still very little cold air and one of the louvers was damaged...if cleaning the units wasn't going to get them to cool properly,...read full review

We can't say enough about The Frenchmen & Son for NYC apartment air-conditioning needs. I spoke to Dawn, who is not only responsive, but is great at communicating and a whiz at scheduling. The company's helpfulness is almost a throwback to another time. Every year, they install our window a/c in the Spring (quickly), remove it in Fall (or whenever you call), and store and service it for the winter. They come when they say they will, and scheduling is a pleasure. No truck driver or installer drama - just great service!
