Dr Shaakir was 10 out of 10, great conversation and attention to detail. I’m glad that I selected him to be my provider after my previous one moved on to another medical facility.
The lab technician was outstanding as well. Her communication and instruction was awesome. She was flawless in performing her duties.
My entire experience was good from start to finish.
Hit or miss. Sometimes they are great and sometimes they are clueless. Appreciate the convenience, don't love every medical question being met with a referral for an appt that is three months down the line. A lot of turnover makes it hard to build a relationship with one person. I've been with One Medical since 2016. I like the folks at Park Slope but it is a pain to get to.
This is the story of a hellish experience made right by a lab tech, medical director, and their colleagues.
My physician sent over a lab order that required 19 vials of blood plus another test. I made plans to come to One Medical months prior and was told that all I had to do was walk in once the specialized equipment was shipped to the office.
So, I came in. But there were so many hiccups with Quest and the complication of the order that it could not be done that day. The lab tech was overwhelmed, understandably. The medical director came to speak with me and was so thoughtful and patient about next steps given I’d gotten off from work early to do this.
