What an incredible little neighborhood barber shop we stumbled upon! Don't let the barber shop-forward aesthetic fool you; they have plenty of female clients and seem to do very well with long hair!

My partner came here for a very last minute blowout on a Saturday, and not only did they accommodate her (unlike the last 6 shops we had called), but they got her in quickly and were so unbelievably kind. She had Jackie as her stylist, and the appointment was so smooth, courteous, and fun. Jackie was also excellent at listening to her needs and nailed the look at the end. Really could not have asked for better, especially for a last minute booking.

Full disclosure: Russell is a regular at my place of business in the same neighborhood), and our staff and his have become family.

I get my hair cut regularly by Julia, who has her own salon in Hudson, but still comes down to style at Ludlow on the weekends to stay connected to the aforementioned crew.

I always feel very well taken care of by everyone at Ludlow! Everything from atmosphere to expert styling is on point. It's a highlight of my days to be ushered into the oasis they have created and be pampered for a spell. I also love relaxing in the garden and know is be welcome to hang there any time. Jackie does the most thorough color job I've ever had. Meticulously matching my gray roots with the grow out, correcting or lightening where I needed it without the lengthy extra processing time (or hiking up the cost). She's just extremely knowledgeable, with a great eye for tweaking color so it compliments your complexion. And her blow out was awesome!
