I absolutely love Little Axe. I’ve been seeing Coby and Christian for years and am always happy with my cut and color. I happened to be at the salon on 3/26 when Tintin Lane was having her hair cut. She wrote a negative review about her experience and I felt like I needed to respond. The client came into Little Axe saying no one knows how to cut her hair so clearly came in with a negative attitude. Coby worked super hard to make the changes the client was asking for and was super patient about explaining what she was doing and asking for clarification from the client. It seemed clear to me that nothing was going to make her happy.
Coby is a master hair stylist who understands and empathizes with my hair needs. She is a superstar cutter and stylist and is able to give my long thick unruly hair the best cut (that lasts!) Mostly, being in the salon is a welcoming, fun and warm environment.
I was a hair model for a shag class Coby led in DC several years ago - it was the best cut I’ve had! As soon as I moved to NYC, I beelined it to Little Axe. Coby has been cutting my hair here for over two years and kills it every time. The complimentary bang trims in between full cuts are such a help. I always love going to see the folks at Little Axe - from the customer service to the cut, they are warm, welcoming, and make me feel right at home.
