Scheduled an appointment on Sunday for a wash and haircut. I like to get a hair cut a couple weeks before the lunar new year. Also, I get a haircut only once a year and don't go to the same salon. So decided to try this salon as it was close to home. When I arrived I was able to get my hair washed right away and that took approximately 10 minutes. The cut took around 30 minutes so I was in the salon for less than an hour. My haircut was simple. I chopped off around 5 inches and got some layers. Total came out to be $30 for the wash and cut. I thought it was at a reasonable price since it's Brooklyn. The reason I gave less stars was because the towel they use used to dry my hair had a bit of a weird scent and I wasn't sure if they cleaned it. Also, when I was getting the cut, the hair dresser kept combing through the knots in my hair but I usually don't have that many knots so I thought she could have been more gentle.
I would definitely recommend this place 100%. They did a spectacular job, honestly the best place to cut your hair. They did exactly what I asked for and the employees were so sweet. The person who cut my hair deserves a raise!! They were super nice and fun to talk too! He had a ponytail and dyed hair (just in case you see him), definitely give him a large tip…he deserves it! Been coming here to cut my hair ever since I heard about them from a friend.The salon can get busy at times but it's well worth the wait.So far each time I've come to cut and style my hair, it's been on point. Communicating your style and preference to the stylist and if possible, giving them a visual picture to work off of will hit the nail on the head for you.My partner also enjoys coming here because the stylists really understand how hair works and what style can work with her head.
