Had to bring my pup back to the vet because I was worried his airway was blocked by a pill they provided. While they didn't see him immediately, they did fit him in the same day. However, the vet only saw him for 5 to 7 minutes, and charged $185.00– just for the vet fee. (Had taken pup to this vet two weeks earlier— for vaccines, etc for bout 550.00). Failing to discuss such an exorbitant fee beforehand is, at best, unfortunate and, at worst, price gouging. It is always best to be transparent so customers don’t feel taken advantage of while in a vulnerable situation.

I won’t pretend—having a pet in this country can be expensive. While Heights & Hills Veterinary Hospital may be on the pricier side, I continue to bring my cat here because of the consistently reliable care they provide.
What truly sets them apart is their responsiveness and transparency. Any time I reach out via email, I receive a timely reply, which gives me peace of mind. The team is incredibly helpful and, most importantly, honest. If a procedure or treatment isn’t necessary, they will tell you directly rather than upselling, which I genuinely appreciate.
I’ve been bringing my Scottish Fold here since she was just a few months old—she’s now four—and we’ve had a great experience throughout. We’ve been under the care of Dr. Erin Dockery, who has been attentive, knowledgeable, and caring every step of the way.
Trust is everything when it comes to your pet’s health, and this is a place where that trust is earned. While it may not be the cheapest option, the quality of care and integrity of the team make it well worth it.

Even though we’ve moved, I wanted to share my gratitude for Heights and Hill and the care they provided for my dog. Everyone on the team is professional and kind. I really appreciate that this clinic is independently owned and not by private equity firms. We never once felt pushed toward unnecessary tests or procedures. It was clear that their priority was our dog’s health, not profit. Thank you!

I’ve been taking my 11 year old orange tabby cat to Heights and Hill for several years now. Dr. Dockery and the whole staff are all wonderful — caring, friendly, warm (with humans and animals). So far they’ve also been very communicative via email and phone when booking appointments and asking questions. Although we’ve been lucky and haven’t faced any major health trials (knock on wood), I was super nervous when my cat went under anesthesia for dental work last year. However, Dr. Dockery did her due diligence in making sure he was ready, and it all went smoothly. I’m happy to have a vet I trust!

We always have good experiences with Dr. Urgo at Heights and Hill! She's especially good with senior dogs, as she's so helpful and caring. Dr. Dockery also recently helped us out with a last minute urgent situation and she was very nice and caring! Also need to mention that Andrew the vet tech has always been very helpful and happy to answer any questions!

We love Heights & Hill! The doctors are all amazing and have given us great advice and care over the years for both our elderly Cavalier and more recently our new puppy. The whole team is warm, kind and responsive to questions/concerns both big and small. I can’t recommend them enough!

Heights and Hill is the best vet in Brooklyn! All of the staff are so warm and on it! The entire team of vets are so knowledgeable and supportive. Our specific vet, Dr. Burnett, is an absolute pro and we feel lucky to have our dog in her care! I can't recommend this practice highly enough!
