I like to get tattoos in the places I visit, and I was missing my official NYC stamp. On my last day in town for a work trip, I decided to find a shop. As I was walking to a café, I came across Electric Lotus Tattoo. I loved the name, the storefront, and gave them a call hoping they’d take a walk-in.
Jae picked up the phone and, even though he was booked, welcomed me to stop by and check out his work. When I arrived, I told him I wanted a tiger, and it turned out he was the “tiger guy.” Felt like divine intervention. I booked for later that day, and Jae absolutely delivered.

Absolutely outstanding experience at Electric Lotus Tattoo! I’ve now gotten two incredible tattoos from Jae Connor—the Buddha and the Astronaut—and both times he exceeded my expectations. Jae’s attention to detail, artistic vision, and professionalism are unmatched. He truly listens, ensuring the tattoo reflects exactly what I had in mind, while adding his own unique artistry that takes it to another level.
The entire studio is welcoming, impeccably clean, and radiates positive vibes. I couldn’t be happier with my tattoos and highly recommend Electric Lotus Tattoo and specifically Jae Connor for anyone looking for top-notch, meaningful artwork.
I visited Brooklyn and decided I wanted to get a tattoo. Called Electric Lotus and Jae was able to squeeze my friend and me in. Jae was absolutely incredible and did an amazing job with both mine and my friend’s tattoo. Would absolutely recommend Jae and this shop!!
