I am very serious about supporting Black businesses. I liked the shop and the atmosphere felt good. My difficulty was due to a failure to communicate. The gentleman who served me seemed hesitant about quoting me a price for the service I wanted. I figured that was simply a cultural difference. Perhaps he was worried I would refuse the service if it was too expensive. ( But would that not be the right thing to do? For if your customer took the haircut/shave and was unable to pay...problems right?)
As is my custom, I explained TWICE, in simple instructions, exactly what I was looking to have done. The young man assured me numerous times that he understood. Great!...read full review
