My Macbook air 2020 stopped working because of some spillage, apple store would charge me $750 and they would need to send it somewhere and would have to go through a process of at least a week, let alone the couple of hours I was in line just to get attended.

Apple quoted me over $700 to fix a malfunctioning keyboard, saying they had to replace the topcase. These guys got it done for $275 and replaced a dead trackpad as well. Very happy a friend encouraged me to try out a indie repair place - I was seriously considering just buying a brand new computer. Now I am typing away happily on my fully functioning keyboard and have at least another 1-2 years of life left in my vintage Macbook Pro, ha.
