I had an entire day after my mandatory 11:00 check out before my flight so decided to spend it at the Brooklyn Banya. I was pleasantly surprised! Staff were lovely - the old lady found me a felt banya hat to borrow- the “wet sauna” 105 degrees was roasting, the steam room was full of dense and soft steam and the plunge pool was “nice” cold where you can stay in for a while. the hot tub was nicely hot and the roof terrace was perfect to cool down, take a break and get a tan. It was mens day so it was me and 4-5 locals. No evidence of any of the reported negatives all in all a very pleasant way to kill a few hours in the big apple!

The borscht was delicious, the solyanka was wonderful, and the staff were friendly. There's just one minor drawback – for some reason, the steam room wasn't heating up, but otherwise everything was excellent!
