The Bay Ridge Dojo is hands down one of the most exceptional martial training centers out there. I first stepped through its doors in 1985, and though life has taken me away from time to time, I’ve always found myself coming back. There’s a reason this dojo has stood the test of time while so many others have fallen by the wayside. The family-like atmosphere combined with a no-nonsense approach to self-defense creates an environment that’s both welcoming and serious about personal growth.

I trained at Bay Ridge DOJO 30 years ago, and have recently began training again. Upon my return I was welcomed back onto the mat by Professor Nicasio Alonso and Professor Mike JUNCH two men who I admire and respect immensely. The training I received so long ago has never left me now that I am back. It is my honor and privilege to be able to train again along with some of the most incredible students and sensei I have ever met.
