About Almost Ready Records
Almost Ready Records is a beloved record store that caters to music enthusiasts of various genres. With a vast selection of punk, alt-rock, rock, and hardcore vinyl, the store is a haven for fans of these genres. However, it may not be the best place to find reggae. The store boasts a remarkable collection of great vintage records, reasonably priced, as well as a constant influx of new arrivals that are always exciting to explore. While the store may not have an abundance of new and sealed records, the ones they do have are often considered "pure gold." Customers praise the store's knowledgeable and friendly staff, who are eager to assist in finding the perfect musical gems. Whether it's browsing through the impressive selection of rock 45s or enjoying the experience of listening to vinyl in-store, Almost Ready Records provides a unique and enjoyable experience for music lovers. Overall, Almost Ready Records is a must-visit destination for those seeking a wide range of high-quality, reasonably priced vinyl, as well as a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.
Love this place - best chance of finding punk, alt-rock, rock, hardcore, etc. Not so much for the reggae. They have a really big selection of great vintage records, reasonably priced. There's also a ton of new arrivals that are always fun to thumb through. Not a ton of new/sealed records, but what they do have in that section is mostly pure gold. Tons of great rock 45's too. I stop by whenever I am in the neighborhood.
Almost Ready was the second stop of a scavenger hunt I created for my friend to celebrate her birthday. Focusing on things she loves most, comics, music, and fashion the shop seemed like the perfect fit. I initially called and spoke with Gordon who was wonderful and excited about my idea. Mitchell however was there to service her once she arrived. She was able to listen to vinyl records while there which was a nice touch. And left with Oo I love you Rakeem by Prince Rakeem (aka Riza) as well as some other goodies thanks to Mitchell.A big THANK YOU to the staff!I’d recommend this store to anyone looking for more than vinyl but an experience!
If you just have the time to hit one record store in the area, pick this one. Overall good selections in multiple genres, very reasonable prices. I usually find really cool gems among the cassettes as well. My daughter lives in the area so this will be a regular stop for me when I am visiting.
