I am super grateful for Alena's help with my wedding in June 2024! She truly exceeded all of my expectations and played such an important role in making my wedding day unforgettable. She was so accommodating and allowed me to have two makeup trials, taking the time to ensure we find the look I wanted. She truly listened to my preferences and made adjustments until I felt completely confident with the style.
Her professionalism and organization were unmatched—she even created a detailed schedule for me, my mom, and my bridesmaids, which kept everything running smoothly during a busy morning. Beyond her incredible talent, Alena is such a kind and warm person. She made me feel so comfortable and cared for, and her positivity was contagious. When I looked in the mirror after she finished, I felt so beautiful and confident for my wedding day.
The morning of the wedding, Alena and Yujing arrived early and got straight to work with such a calming and cheerful energy that put everyone at ease. They were very kind and made me, my mom, and my bridesmaids look and feel beautiful. Alena and Yujing brought out our best features and everything held up beautifully throughout the ceremony and reception. Thank you both for your incredible hair and makeup services.

If I could give Alena WAY more than 5 stars, I would. Alena is everything you want from a hair artist for your wedding day. Alena did my best friend's hair on her big day so she as a no brainer for me. Thankfully she was available for my June wedding! When things felt so stressful and you lose track of who you touched base with and who you didn't it's so nice to have a professional who was consistent about reaching out and keeping in touch leading up to the day. Alena was so flexible with changes and I felt like she really heard me when I brought up concerns or questions. I am Korean and have fine hair that sometimes doesn't hold curls and Alena went out of her way to spend time with me to figure out what would work on my hair. She showed genuine concern and pride of the work she does. She was reached out to ME to coordinate things instead of the other way around.
I couldn't be happier with Alena and her professionalism and her skills as a hair artist. I felt comfortable with her and trusted her to make me feel and look beautiful. Thank you Alena!!!!

Not only is she incredibly talented at her craft, but she is patient, kind, attentive, and efficient. Alena is amazing! I am so glad I chose her for HMU for my wedding day. I also did a hair trial with her a few weeks before the wedding which helped me make my decision and I highly recommend for anyone who is indecisive. Alena is so patient and warm, and made the getting ready process so much fun! She is also super flexible and was able to meet us in Queens the day of which made everything so much easier for me :)

Alena is the absolute BEST! From the minute I reached out to her, I knew I was in good hands. We did a trial for my bridal shower in February and I felt instantly excited that she was my hair & makeup artist! She is professional, easy to work with and talk to, and truly takes the time to make sure you sure you are getting the look you want. We were in constant communication leading up to my wedding; which is SO helpful during a can be stressful time! On my wedding day, Alena and her team were incredible—myself all of my girls, my mom, my MILs and my flower girl looked unbelievable beautiful that day & we were complimented on all evening. They were so fun to work with, talk to, and made the day stress free and awesome. Alena is the sweetest & I could not recommend her enough or thank her enough for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day!!

Wonderful!! I absolutely recommend Alena for both makeup & hair. I had a special event during the day in Brooklyn and was going for light makeup but good for photos, she absolutely delivered. Alena was so nice and knew exactly how to help achieve the look I was going for. Will definitely be rebooking for future events!

Alena is the absolute best!! I could not have been happier with my choice to work with her for my wedding. She understood my vision from the moment we first spoke and at my trial. My hair was perfect all day on my wedding despite a windy and partially rainy day. All my bridesmaids looked beautiful as well! I highly recommend her. Not only did she do an incredible job giving me natural makeup and beautiful hair but she stuck by me during my photos, helping me with my dress and veil and making sure everything was in place.
