About A+ Nails & Spa
A+ Nails & Spa is a popular spot with many clients, often with every chair occupied. The space is described as average, with 6 mani chairs and 5 pedi chairs. While the pedi chairs may be worn out, the phones are always ringing with clients looking for an open. Reviewers note that the gel polish quality is long lasting, staying chip free for up to a month, and a wide array of gel and Essie polish is available. Prices are considered average, reflecting NYC price lists. Acrylics have been described as turning out very nice, with technicians taking their time. However, one reviewer found the pedicure price diabolical for a short service that was still messy. There are mentions of potential price increases for acrylics beyond the initial quote, and communication challenges as nobody there speaks English. Some clients have experienced cuts on their fingers after services, and one nail tech was reportedly screaming and talking to herself. Despite some drawbacks, clients express a desire to return, appreciating the clean and pleasant environment and the beautiful, smooth, and shiny finish of gel nails.
This is our third time here so I feel justified in reviewing. The previous two times, it was during winter so it wasn't as active. However, we did notice that while the salon directly across the street was empty, this one had every chair occupied and folks waiting.
The space is quite average, no frills. They have 6 mani chairs and 5 pedi chairs. The later is quite worn out with rips etc and quite frankly, the massage feature doesn't always work. However, the phones are always ringing with clients looking for an open. That to me is telling.

The place is clean and pleasant, but the price for a pedicure is diabolical. I paid 26 dollars for a 5 minute polish and exfoliation and the job was still messy. The acrylics however turned out very nice, and the lady took her time doing my nails. If you do not schedule an appointment and choose to walk in, you may have to wait 30 minutes to an hour. Also if you choose to get acrylic nails, your “$45” will end up turning into $70 some how even without any types of designs. Nobody there speaks english. Nice if you want something quick and affordable. I also left with cuts on my fingers after getting my acrylics, and my nail tech was screaming talking to herself half...read full review
I got extended gel nails with a blank base color and a shining cat eye blue effect on top, and I absolutely love how they turned out! The finish is smooth, shiny, and exactly the look I was going for—elegant with a bit of sparkle. The nail technician was careful and detailed throughout the process, making sure the shape and design were perfect. The salon was also clean and comfortable.
