Repairs are sometimes delayed, with broken cables and missing cushions on equipment, which can be frustrating for members. Additionally, the rooms for cycling and aerobics classes are locked 24/7, and staff often cannot unlock them when asked. I give two stars because of the staff who have no control over the plenty of red flags going on. Xavier was very helpful and I feel bad they have to pay the consequences of this big corporation scamming their paying customers. This LA fitness shouldn’t have been open due to ALL THE AMENITIES NOT FUNCTIONING, meaning no sauna, no pool, no basketball court and I didn’t see the Pilates studio either. The only “amenity” that works is the kids club for which u have to pay $10 on top of your monthly membership. So tell us WHY? Are you charging $50 monthly???? It’s tiresome that I pay a monthly membership and an annual fee and do not get all the amenities. The sauna and steam room have been closed until further notice by the HEALTH DEPT since April. I took a hiatus from the gym in June and just started back in September lo and behold the issue still hasn’t be rectified. I am not sure who is the owner or if this is under the corporation, but it’s unacceptable. I now have to drive out of my way to get to another gym, when this one is literally a 5 min drive from my house but there is always an issue. Then to be able to use a signature flu I would have to pay over 100 dollars more. Do better by the community you’re in...read full review
Honestly, I love my new LA FITNESS location, seeing as how they are the new owners of this location.
NOW, the Bay Plaza location has had issues with their Hvac system for years with the upstairs cooling.
However, the gym needs to do more with cooling alternatives. They have 1 large fan that's stationed in a poor location.
Olive Garden also suffers from the malls lack of proper cooling system. Yet they provide multiple cooling agents. Something that I hope LA FITNESS now prioritizes.
The steam room and sauna smell of mold almost as if they aren't being sanitized and cleaned regularly.
