Optum Family Medicine - Riverdale - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

I went for some tests that I needed and the check-in process was fast and efficient, and I was called in for my scheduled appointment right on time. Although my primary care physician is the amazing Dr. Leticia Gonzalez, I was recently assisted by Dr. Pinzon, who was thorough and attentive to my needs. The staff at the office were all very kind and professional. The person who withdrew my blood was especially skilled, as I barely felt a thing--it was quick and painless. Overall, it was an in-and-out visit that left me impressed with the level of care and service provided by the medical team.

Weird to see all these bad reviews. We’ve been coming here for years and never had an issue.

Horrible place, the worst. Doctors are fine. The front desk, N. nasty, with other professonals. Place need to close down.TY for 30 yr

If you go to the place it is a terrible service from the staff, it is rare to find someone from the staff who is friendly, there is also a great DISCRIMINATION regarding the Spanish speaking clientele, both in person and online, you do not find information with them in Spanish .

Since they switched to Optum, it's just not worth it. They have good Dr's but not worth the hassle, complications and super long wait times for everything.

Just one suggestion for you. Run away look for another office. Thus place is getting worse by day.

I actually love the doctors in this office, however, DO NOT visit this office after 5:00PM; front desk staff are extremely RUDE!!!! And love to criticize patients. They also seem to be homophobic and tend to stare down at patients. This is NOT a friendly environment, they are VERY unprofessional.January 11, 2024 UPDATE: WORST SERVICE than before. They changed the front desk staff for slightly decent people. However, the new Doctors provide different levels of service that is determined by your insurance, so don’t expect them to care about you if you have bad insurance; specifically TriCare. Also, can you believe they NEVER pick up the phones? No matter which line you select, what a joke. This place should be CLOSED for good….. Thank you for nothing :).

I give this place an unfortunate ZERO stars. I had been going here for years and my father as well. The lady that picks up the phone was very unhelpful and rude. I have new insurance from my employer so I confirmed with my insurance that this office is within network. I told her it is Independence under Bluecross, she didn’t understand what I said and said we don’t think we accept. When I said this is a Bluecross company how can you not accept it (they also confirmed it with me) has been a terrible time trying to get an appointment she said “well my manager actually says we don’t accept your insurance” and hung up. I had been going here for years but this had been a terrible office for the past few years with 6 month wait times and rude staff. They don’t care about your health they will drop you like a hot pan.

I still love Dr. Groves, she is amazing and the doctors who have seen me have all been wonderful to me and my family. Unfortunately… since Optum took over it has been a disaster. Impossible to make an appointment, everything is “go to urgent care” and walk-ins are no longer accepted. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years but must now start looking for another office. So sad.

The worst place ever now since optum took over! Me and my children been going there's for years for them to tell me they no longer take my insurance! Awful you don't do people like that! Hope the place close down!
