After coming to Seera's for 3+ years I can confidently say that Denise is one of the best hairstylist out there. Denise has brought my hair from dry, damaged and flat to a healthy beautiful caramel balayage. We have gone lighter (blonde) and darker through the seasons and she always gets it perfectly right. Her and her vast knowledge of the most flattering hairstyles, blending ability and suitable colors always bring me back. Wouldn't trust another stylist- 10/10!
I followed Cathy to Rua's and she returned home to Ireland, and I heard that things had changed so I went back to Seera's to try Laurie and she is wonderful. I've been back at Seera's for a few years now and Laurie does a wonderful job - and hopefully she won't return home to Albania as she has a husband and three children here! She actually gave me a cut last summer that was wash and wear! Even though I know no longer work in the Bronx, I still go down there on a Saturday to get my hair done. Laurie does a phenomenal job!
I gave it 4 stars because I always liked the way my hair turned out. But.......Jennifer, the young woman who was doing my hair for several months decided to move to Australia., I found this out when I called to make an appointment just now. It seems she only saw fit to tell people who actually came in after she decided to leave instead of notifying all the people on her regular customer list. Not everyone comes in every 3 weeks or once a month. She did my color so I know I was in the book as being a customer because they keep record of the colors. Very unprofessional. And the person on the phone when I called seemed to have no problem with this. She seemed to think it was ok that only people who came in were told. That's not the way it's done. It makes no difference if it has been a while since I had been in, It should not be *assumed* that I was no longer a customer. It's better to let people know who perhaps hadn't planned on coming back than not let people know who wanted to come back. The PROFESSIONAL thing to do is make sure people know.
