I can’t say enough good things about Dunrite’s Christmas Shop! We got some gorgeous warm white lights there that are probably the best I’ve ever had. A little story - So the little controller box to the lights was sitting in a puddle of water from that heavy rain we had and they had turned off. I thought for sure they were done. I unplugged it and went to take the box out of the water. Re-plugged them in, and they turned on! ✨✨ Love the color they are like the perfect Christmas Lights. Highly recommend Dunrite for all your holiday home decor needs!
I use this company for great service on niche jobs. However, their store is out of control with prices. These are real prices: $40 for four gallons of "pool shock" sodium hypochlorite 12.5%. Ocean State Job Lot sells the same company, same strength, and same freshness on the batch code for $23. And you get $30 back after spending $100. $60 worth of Dunrite "alkalinity up" can be replaced by $16 worth of Baking soda from Walmart or Costco. It's the same chemical. Stabilizer (cya) is cheaper with shipping from online sellers. Muriatic acid is double the price of True Value, which is expensive to begin with. I was able to browse and find third party replacement parts at the same price as OEM parts. This place is out of control. Pool openings and closings are impossible to secure, obnoxious system for reserving a date. Their openings are more expensive than competitors and do not offer power vacuuming.
Buyer beware. I have always gone to Dunrite (since 2001) to check my pool water and purchase various chemicals to open and maintain my pool. I received an email indicating I would receive a discount on specific chlorine tables that I use for my pool, guess what they did not honor it. I went yesterday which was within the timeframe of the coupon and the cashier told me based on his managers instructions that morning, there were no coupons available at this time. I showed him the email on my phone and he said sorry, we won't honor that, don't know if you manufactured the email and his manager wasn't avaliable. The cashier then tried to sell me another set of products to receive a $50 rebate and I said no, I only need chlorine tablets. I bit the bullet and purchased the 25lb tub of tablets for $239.99. When I went home, I checked Amazon and the same bucket of chlorine tablets was being sold for $189.99. I called the store and asked if they would honor the other price and give me a credit, they said NO and they were not allowed to accept returns on pool products in NYS. I said great, what statute says that and they said they did not need to tell me.
