“Took a chance on a quick stop through Buffalo to find a barbershop near my hotel, and based on the reviews, I went with Salty Dog Barbershop. I sat in Deion’s chair, and after a quick glance at the pics I brought in, he went to work. I’m a quiet guy, but Deion’s chair-side manner was so personable that I found it challenging not to keep up a conversation. His knowledge on hair and styling was thorough and very helpful for me in terms of how to treat my hair. By the time my cut was over, not only had it felt like I had only been in his chair for all of 15mins, but what I saw in the mirror was an almost identical replica of what I had asked for with an even more expert take. I was blown away. I’m not from Buffalo, but I may just have to utilize my work travel benefits just to drop in solely for a haircut! Out of all the haircuts I’ve received, this has easily been one of- if not the- best haircuts I’ve had in a long time! “I was in a pinch for a haircut this afternoon. My barber shop is closed on Wednesdays. I contacted Truth Barbershop based on reviews and location. I asked if walk-ins are available. The gentleman on the phone stated that he would be able to help me out. I walked into the barbershop and was greeted by Ruban. My first impression was this guy is a really nice guy. He went above and beyond my expectations. His interactions and ability to clearly communicate was outstanding. He made sure I was 100 percent satisfied with my haircut. “Definitely give him a shot! Al is an amazing person. I went in because I live in the neighbourhood and my mother is bedbound and on hospice. I went to see if he could give my mother a haircut, but he specializes with men's cuts. He said he would look into a few things for me and then gave me a call back and actually recommended me to someone who could help. Most people / businesses refuse to recommend others especially if they don't get a little something for their troubles, but not Al.. He didn't have to call me back but he did.. and he provided me information for someone who could assist with no expectations in return, just good old fashion kindness.
