Barber Tim Piper offers a unique barber shop experience with over 20 years of experience and over 100 five star Yelp reviews. The one-chair shop is nestled in the woods by Ross Park Zoo, offering a welcome alternative to other shops in Binghamton. Instead of flatscreen TVs or loud music, customers look out into the woods seeing deer while listening to Frank Sinatra. The goal is to provide everyone with a relaxing experience. The shop is cozy and beautifully decorated with an amazing view. Tim is a great barber with a fantastic personality who makes customers feel like he has known them their whole life. He is very professional and skilled, delivering exactly what customers want with great attention to detail. After a full consultation about hair and desired style, he explains what he thinks would look best. Customers come out with an awesome haircut, all for a great price. He is affordable and gives a superior cut to other higher end shops. The vibe is relaxed, making it an easy recommendation. Also, props to his friendly furry pal Bernie.
It was my first time going to Barber Tim Piper’s single-chair barbershop and I was blown away by the charm and views of his place. It's the coolest. Tim really took the time to listen to what I was going for and absolutely delivered. Warm, welcoming, and incredible stories about his years living in California and all the people he met and cut hair for! I highly recommend giving this place a visit and plan to be back many more times.
Tim is the BEST! While other barbers will try and dazzle you with the slickest shop in the nicest strip mall in town, Tim has instead crafted his own retreat up in the trees. He takes exceptional pride in his work, and is full of wonderful stories. You’ll come for the haircut, and come back to pet old Mr. Burnside his rescue pup and welcoming committee. Decided to try this place out after moving to town and I won’t be looking elsewhere - it’s a haircut and a friendship!
It was the first time in 40 years that my bf went to a barber, it’s an understatement to say that he was feeling nervous. From the very first contact with Tim Piper, we were treated with kindness and empathy. He took a lot of time with Michael and continually referred to the “goal” hair cut picture we provided. Tim listened attentively to our requests and worked diligently to make sure we were happy. We’re ecstatically happy and will be recommending Barber Tim Piper to everyone! We will regularly visiting his shop for maintenance. * * * * * * * * * * Ten stars!
