Within the last 4 months, my family lost our father and then our mother. As heartbroken as we all are, the last thing we had to worry about was planning anything. Kathleen and Melissa are 2 of the most professional women I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Every single thing was handled perfectly. To whom it may concern, I would like to commend the Townley and Wheeler funeral home for their outstanding service to my community and my family. I am 63 years old and have been to a lot of funeral services during my lifetime and I have made arrangements for several also. My dad just passed away and we contacted Townley and Wheeler and I was just so overwhelmed with their amazing care,concern and sympathy given in such a positive manner that I have never seen before. As I stated above I have been to many funerals and I always seem to be so overcome with grief that I can not celebrate the deceased life as I have always wanted to be able to. Townley and Wheeler provided such a positive environment and physically bright area that to my disbelief at one of the times in my life when the grief should have been at its worst for the first time I was really able to celebrate the deceased! The interior of the home is very bright with beautiful stained glass windows especially all across behind where the casket is. This is just so wonderful in contrast to all the other homes I have been to in the past. Everyone of the staff was so positive instead of the gloomy personalities I have seen in the past. Every detail was thought of and taken care of perfectly. They even opened up their personal living area so the young children had a seperate place and purchased pizza to keep the children occupied! My family is full of dog lovers so it was such a great comfort to us that their very well-behaved dog would be there for us. I know about therapy dogs but never thought of them in this situation. There is nothing like the unconditional love of a dog especially at a time like that. I don't know if you have any special awards or ways to recognize very special and outstanding organizations in your line of business but if so I certainly believe Townley and Wheeler should be at the top of the list!
