Powell Funeral Home is highly recommended for its wonderful and excellent service.
Never in my lifetime would I have thought that a funeral home would be a “good experience” because of the emotions attached to the experience but, I have to say this was by far one of the best experiences in dealing with a business. It started with Matt when we were planning ahead of time for my family’s terminal illness. Matt was so welcoming and compassionate regarding our situation and handled it with grace and ease. Unfortunately, my uncle passed shortly after and we had to meet with Matt again (no appointment) but he treated us with kindness and respect, finalizing the process.

Just four days ago, we had the heartfelt privilege of meeting a truly compassionate soul named Matthew Bennett, the funeral director at Powell Funeral Home. My family and I walked in feeling utterly numb, broken, and overwhelmed by confusion. From the moment we arrived, Matthew enveloped us with reassurance, letting us know that we were in caring hands and needed not to worry about any details. He promised to make this difficult process as easy as possible and has certainly delivered on that promise. Powell Funeral home and its directors do an incredible job. Matt was our FD and he was amazing. In what was one of the most difficult times in the our life, the passing of my beautiful mom, he lead us with such comfort, ease, patience and understanding. The place itself is such a warm homey establishment that made us feel like we were in the comfort of our home. Thank you Powell and Matt for knowing exactly how to guide us and in making difficult decisions easier. You are all wonderful at what you do.
