About General Physician, PC Primary Care
General Physician, PC Primary Care is a well-established medical group that has been serving Western New York since 2010. With offices conveniently located throughout the region, the practice welcomes patients of all ages and provides comprehensive primary care services. While the network is large, the providers take pride in forming meaningful relationships with their patients. If a patient requires more specialized attention, their primary care provider can quickly refer them to a GPPC specialist. The reviews of General Physician, PC indicate that patients have generally had positive experiences with the practice. Many patients have found the staff to be caring and responsive, and they have been satisfied with the quality of care provided by the doctors, such as Dr. Cange. However, one patient had a concerning experience where their specific needs were not properly addressed, leading to a loss of trust and feeling of safety. Overall, the practice seems to strive to provide high-quality, personalized care to its patients, but there is room for improvement in ensuring all patients feel respected and accommodated.
When I first started here a few years ago, it was great. I felt respected and safe. Key word, SAFE. Having cPTSD, that's a really big deal for me. However, in June I found out, that despite being told otherwise, they had never put an alert in my chart that I can only see female providers. Not only that, but my cPTSD and another condition I have were nowhere in my chart at all. This led to being scheduled with Tyler (I figured girl Tyler d/t trusting them to not put me in with a male). They apologized and promised to fix the issue. Today I called and they tried to schedule me with a male AGAIN, and when I explained the alert and CPTSD issue they got really snippy, said "I don't have time for your lecture, I can schedule you are not." And "theres no need for an alert in your chart." I had to hang up due to having a panic attack. I now have to figure out how to get my medications while I find another provider. I no longer feel safe nor respected and I'm truly disgusted with how this was handled. My fiance is also transferring out. Your provider is supposed to be in your corner. That is not the case at Potempa's office and I do not recommend them.
