Shades of Gray is a step above most tattoo studios and a big reason has to do with the staff, particularly Aly. My wife had been wanting to get a tattoo for a long time, but was nervous and not sure where to go, who to trust, and all the important stuff you need to cover when you are getting your initial ink done. Luckily, Aly was a friend who made us feel like family. Not only was she a pro with design and implementation, but so kind, calming, and professional all at the same time. I cannot recommend Shades of Gray--specifically Aly!--enough! This was my first tattoo and Aly made me feel so comfortable. I was super nervous and brought my husband and some friends, and she gladly let everyone stay with me. She is such a sweetheart and so easy to get along with, plus an insanely talented artist. I could not have asked for better! I love that the shop is female-owned and run. Its got that witchy vibe that makes you feel like these women and all your strong female ancestors have your back!
