The Parkway Athletic Club (South) is a well-equipped facility with a great central location and plenty of parking. It offers a wide range of amenities, including up-to-date cardio and weight equipment, a functional layout, and a convenient locker system. The club is known for its excellent water fitness instructor, who provides challenging yet adaptable workouts, and its skilled swim instructors, who effectively teach and communicate with students. The gym boasts a refreshing green grass area for outdoor workouts and stretching, adding a pleasant ambiance to the space. Customers praise the extensive weight section, which caters to all their strength training needs, as well as the variety of group classes available, which keep workouts engaging and motivating. The swimming program for kids is absolutely top-notch, with coaches who know how to balance fun with skill building. Customers have seen amazing progress and confidence in the kids, thanks to instructors like Landon, who has an incredible way of connecting with the children, being patient, encouraging, and always pushing them just enough to help them grow without ever overwhelming them. Makenzie, another swim instructor, is also praised for being so patient and kind, making swim lessons an enjoyable experience for the children. The facility is well-maintained and clean, with a nice pool that can get busy at times. While not all classes are free, the gym has been a long-standing favorite for many members, who have appreciated its overall quality and service for over 20 years.
Top-notch facility.
I never considered myself a gym person. I joined Parkway Athletic Club primarily for the Pilates classes and had no intention of spending much time in the gym itself.
But little by little, that changed. Five months later, I successfully completed a challenging high-altitude hike, and feel great. This gym offers so much variety in fitness classes. There’s something for everyone. Just being here is motivating.

Normally I would give this club five stars. Good atmosphere, updated equipment etc. What knocks it down a star are the ridiculous locks in the men’s locker room. They constantly malfunction and you end up having to walk to the front desk to get the key in whatever clothing you have on whether it’s your gym clothes or a towel. This happens to me almost every week. Truly disruptive.
