I reserved a deep tissue massage with a male therapist and was excited to have an amazing massage experience. However, my experience was disappointing. The therapist had no intuitive ability to sense when he was making me more tense instead of relaxing me. There was zero warm up and getting the muscles ready for deep pressure, he just went right into it and it was uncomfortable. He thought he was doing great and when I said it wasn’t he didn’t even try to improve, he just kept going on. The areas I said needed the most attention? He barely gave them any! I recieved a Swedish massage by Holly. I was able to book same day. I was tired from walking and was able to book it in a hour. You go up to the elevators on the second floor. The area is clean and doesn't smell like cigarettes. Theres lockers with a code you lock your belongings. There's tea, coffee, water for you to drink. I did like the massage and it helped refresh me. They do have extra toiletries for when your changing such as combs, hairspray, lotion, q tips, curler, straightener, blow dryer, dental kit, mouthwash which is nice to have.
$10 service charge? When i
asked the front desk girl what this service charge is? She said “it’s a tip for the spa attendants in the back.” The problem I have with up front tips, is maybe the service was
not great. In this case, several shower stall soap bottles were empty and eucalyptus shower had dirty towels in it. I like this spa, good steam room and cold plunge. It should say gratuity so at the end, I don’t feel the need to tip the spa attendants in person. But they won’t tell you that unless you ask. Kinda shady
