I've been going to see Dr. Kohorst and his lovely team for more than 20 years, and I couldn't be happier. He's the only doctor I've been going to that long, and for a reason: he's great at what he does and he's kind, lovely, and very gppd at explaining what's happening with my eyes/what the issues are. I'll never forget the extra free contact samples I got when I was a poor college student, and there's no way I would ever go to another optometrist. Dr. Kohort always goes above and beyond, and going for my annual eye exam also includes a nice long chat which I always look forward to. I left a review (review is by old account) almost ten years ago, and came back here to send screenshot reviews to a friend of mine who needs a new eye doctor. However, in reading the reviews about the staff, I realized some of the sentiments echoed my recent experiences. Dr. Kohorst is as wonderful as ever. HOWEVER, his receptionist is downright unfriendly. It was so bad, I actually dreaded coming back to pick up my glasses/contacts. It's truly unfortunate as Dr. Kohorst and the rest of his staff is just a dream. This receptionist almost negates the others' wonderfulness.

My family and I have been visiting Dr Kohorst for years. We appreciate his thorough exams and prompt service, especially when there is an issue with our eye wear. Kandie is extremely knowledgeable and we have no issues scheduling appointments.
