I highly do not recommend Hurtic Law. I was promised that my case would start the same week and a letter would be sent, but after they received my money, attorney Carrie E. Hurtik disappeared for 7 weeks. I emailed and left voicemails every week, but the office said she was the only one who knew what was happening with my case. They scheduled appointments for her to call me, but she never did. When I called back, they said she was busy and would get back to me. After 7 weeks, I asked for my money back, but they said only she could do that. On the 9th week, she finally got back to me and apologized, saying this was not how they usually operate. She said she could return my check on Tuesday, but by Friday, I still hadn't received it. When I called, she disappeared again. I sent my parents to pick up the check the following week, but it was almost $200 less because she claimed she had called once about my case and no one answered. This office is a scam, with terrible customer service and a tendency to take people's money and disappear. Please be cautious and read this review for reference. I do not understand how they can legally operate. The fee should be returned as well since you didn't do any work. It is always full refund at any business. You can't keep partial money.
