I have cancer and finally had to admit that I have to shave my head because of the amount of hair I am losing. I just had the most amazing experience thanks to Anthony Valerio, at G Aveda Salon, the best stylist I have ever had. I could not look in the mirror because I felt ugly and deformed. So, I sat in his chair completely deflated and while crying said I needed my head shaved because I am dealing with Breast Cancer. This man is amazingly kind and gentle. After doing my shave and because he said he did not want to be alone in this, HE SHAVED HIS OWN HEAD. I had never met him before; I just picked a place that was close to my house to get it done. He shared my pain and made me feel less alone. This man is a wonderful, caring person, that moment made me feel connected, less alone and truly valued. I cannot put into words what it meant to me.
