This lovely vet helped our 14.5 year old doggie cross the rainbow bridge. I was a wreck so I don’t remember anyone’s names but the tech who took us back was great (male, lots of tattoos) and the doctor who did the procedure was an angel (young woman, long dark hair). Everyone was patient with us, offered us additional time, and was just truly caring and kind. I’m so grateful to the doctor and staff we encountered.

Three stars only for Dr.McGehee, Day C. and the front desk. He and Day C. Sat down and listened to our issue. I brought my kitten in 3X. The front desk was communicative and got her in quickly all 3x. It started when she licked her spay site and was sneezing a lot. We were worried about her being sick. Dr.Czito stapled her, not suture, stapled, and gave us Augmentin; our kitten declined rapidly. We took her in on a Friday and brought her back that Monday Dr.Martinez did more tests, gave her more medication and sent us home saying she would be in touch with the results. I had to take her in the next day. She had lost .2lbs in that one day. She is now on the right medications, on the mend and coming back to life in front of our eyes. Dr.McGhee and Day C. really showed how much they care. They went over her history, asked questions and seemed genuinely worried with us. I will only take my fur babies to him and I will recommend my fur friends to him.
TLDR: Dr.MCGEHEE & DAY C. SAVED A KITTEN ONLY SEE THEM

We are cat parents of 3. Took 2 of our cats Mango and Monkey to durango animal hospital 2 times for different reasons. Both times we were blessed to have been treated by Dr Margolis. Her compassion and bedside manner exceeded our expectations both times. Genuinely the best animal hospital hands down. Thank you so much for your care, to everyone there. We appreciate you SO MUCH ❤️

I kind of like the part where you call up an hour or two before to see if they have availability, and they slot you in!!

Update: The Durango Animal Hospital was once a 5-star animal hospital, but I’m now rating it 1 star as an animal money-making business. I’ve been coming there since 2005 with my dogs, and unfortunately, over the past few years the overall quality has steadily declined—including staff, processes, atmosphere, and overall experience. Now, I will be seeking another animal hospital for my babies.

Love this place. Opening on Sundays makes my life so much easier. Great and friendly staff.

If you love your pet door not take them to this place. I had some lab work done for my baby girl and xrays. I never received results but got charged over 800.00
Not to mention they were trying to peddle multiple shots that were not necessary. What a nightmare.

First this was an unsanitary room dog hair from a different dog not my friends and a needle on the floor for stitches that he could have stepped on, secondly my friend had to take dogs temp herself and muzzle her dog herself and hold her dog down as the other 2 people who work here were unable to do so so basically did exam herself and didn't want to take anything off price when she did all thier work and they want her to give her dog the shots herself on top of it would give 0 stars if I could the doctor also acted like she didn't know what she was confidently talking about or like she wanted to be around her dog

This place used to be good. Now, the prices are astronomical and they are happy to charge for as many exploratory tests as you are willing to pay for.

I previously had a mass removal on one of my pets for about $600 total about a year and a half ago. Now, they wanted just over $2000 dollars for the exact same procedure.

Can anyone explain what happened to the prices here?
