I've been coming to Mayra for over a year now and I am really happy with her work. Her salon is beautiful and clean, and she is super sweet. I had been stalking her on IG for some time before I actually made my first appointment, and I am sooo glad I did. My cousin and I go to her regularly and my grow out still looks good. Every time I sit in her chair, I know I'm going to be happy with the outcome. I like a dark root/crown low maintenance balayage and she delivers. I'm typically anxious during service appointments because I'm worried if I will actually be happy with the work and I'm super relaxed here. Go get your hair done at Beauty Avenue Salon and stop by at The Cobblestone Cottage on the corner for a chocolate brownie. You deserve it.

Mayra has been doing my hair for over 5 years. She's the absolute best! She's very knowledgeable about hair color, hair care and hair products. She's honest and explains well during consultations. I've done all kinds of hair color and she'll tell me what it'll take to achieve what color I'm wanting. Everyone in the salon is also so kind and welcoming. I can't wait to come back

Pako at Beauty avenue salon is incredible! I often dye my hair shades of red which can be challenging for some colorists. Not Pako though, he nailed it! We went with this gorgeous Balayage copper and it's the most beautiful and natural it's ever looked. It was my first time with him and I am beyond impressed. I'll be booking with him for the foreseeable future.

I got my hair done by Mayra. I wanted to try something new and give another hair dresser a shot which I had soon to regret. The overall experience was ok, I had a 4 pm appointment which I guess was late because she looked extremely annoyed, was rushing cutting my hair, rushing trying to clean up her shop and overall the vibe was off in there. I know being an owner is exhausting but you should always put your clients first and want them to come back, but that was not the case. It's nice to be able to connect while you're sitting in a chair for two hours, but it was so hard to have a conversation with her, it was one word answers and I was so ready to go home by that point. My hair turned out okay, the color is not what I wanted but the layers were on point. she blew out my hair and when she showed me the reveal, I told her I looked like a grandma she just laughed, but I was serious. I felt ugly in the moment so I went home and fixed it up and felt a little better about it. I'm definitely not going back but i'm glad I got to experience it because now I know for next time!

This place is such a disappointment. I've been here multiple times to get partial balayage. This last time I booked my appt for March 28th to get another partial balayage. I went in for my appointment and my stylist did not want to do it because he was worried I'd damage my hair and said I didn't need to redo it right now. He suggested to tone my hair. I agreed with it because I trusted him-what do I know about hair? After my appointment, my hair was definitely more of a brown blonde than my lighter blonde I had before. It looks very dark and I have no money pieces left. When I was there I told him I wanted to go even brighter, but I got the complete opposite! In total, I paid 225 for TONER and I guess a bleach wash (they told me this today). On January 23rd, I paid 250 for PARTIAL BALAYAGE. How is there a 25 dollar difference for a drastically lesser service? From my understanding, with my partial balayage, he is painting the bleach into my hair which can take an hour or two. For my service on Tuesday, he rubbed toner and a bleach wash in my hair, and it's almost the same price? A total rip off. I messaged him and told him my hair is super dark and I want to do a partial balayage because I do not like how it looks at all. I questioned the pricing and he explained how each item was priced. I asked for a refund because 1. My hair is completely different than I expected. 2. He did not seem to want to do a partial balayage. He said they do not do refunds. He was going to talk to his boss and I asked to be called so I can discuss my concerns. They said the manager would call me- then later said she would not call me. They insisted I had to come in to explain my concerns. I drove 40 min round trip for NOTHING to be done. Mayra? the owner (i don't know if this is her name) and my stylist were looking at my hair. We were going back and forth on what was done with my hair, the results, and pricing. I questioned the pricing and at one point the owner said it's 75 for toner but my stylist said it is 125. I don't know where the confusion is with that. It's hard to trust them when they can't even agree on their prices! I explained the pricing I have paid every single time I've come in to be told that is old pricing and the new pricing is 275 for partial balayage. Regardless of old or new pricing, I could have actually gotten my hair done with their spring discount 25% off, for less than what I paid for toner and a bleach bowl. It just doesn't add up. I am appreciative they don't want to completely damage my hair, but I've had my hair done 3 times.. no way it can be that damaged already. I was denied a refund once again and what really upset me was being told they can retone my hair but I'd have to come back another time. This is not an acceptable resolution for their terrible service. I have a life outside of getting my hair done. I spent hours messaging my stylist back and forth about my concerns with no resolution. I spent my day off coming into the salon thinking they will have a resolution on the spot, to be told I have to schedule? And what was going to be scheduled was 225 worth of toner I guess. This place is a scam and I am done with their dishonesty and shady business practices. Their prices don't match up and they don't care about their clients. Save yourself the time and find a stylist and owner that wants to make things right- and if they can't, at least offer a refund to show they care about keeping their clients.

What can I say my experience was amazing. Thank you to my stylist Nelly she killed my hair and I love it! My hair is at a shoulder length blunt cut and you can't even tell, I have so received so many compliments on it .
