My husband and I waited 15 years to invest into our home on this kind of scale and Nikolai delivered on every aspect from start to finish. To think that it all started with us just wanting to put some turf and string lighting in the back so that our kids could have more room to run and play in the day and into the night. My husband got bids from 4 other companies. While Nikolai came in towards a higher price point, his ability to listen to our ideas and quickly sketch out a design that got us really dreaming of possibilities that were not even on our radar, it definitely made a strong impression. Before we even signed the contract, Nikolai was already working with us as if we already had. It seemed he was even more excited than we were about taking it on. Nikolai was our designer, foreman and co-laborer with his crews. He demonstrated that he could lead the project and also set the standard for his crew when it came to workmanship and work ethic. He was honest and realistic when discussing timelines with us and consistently proved that he could adapt and overcome whatever challenges came up. His vision for our project was expansive but he executed it in very precise and clear stages that allowed us to live through the process with few interruptions to our work and family life. He took great care in guiding us through the sometimes difficult decisions between budget and quality. He never placed us in a position where we felt we had to sacrifice either one. He was very patient especially when it came to discussing and selecting materials and plants/trees. He was very generous with the knowledge and experience he had cultivated over the years and we definitely learned a lot from him. These qualities really set him and Advantage Landscape apart from other contractors we were working with on other home projects during this "season of COVID". His crew was always respectful of our time and our property. We knew when they would be on-site and they were consistent in their arrival and departure times. At the end of each work day, they would make sure to set aside time to clean up and organize their materials. Nikolai was always fairly easy to contact and responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Overall it was probably the best case scenario for the biggest home improvement project we have undertaken so far.
