This place is not professional. Period. I was continuously canceled on 6 times in 2 months. I was informed it was Covid the first time, called back to reschedule and they told me she was in a meeting?? Well is it Covid or a meeting? Then I was canceled the next week, and the next week, then it was moved again (Covid as an excuse twice 3 weeks apart). I have never, ever, experienced such unprofessionalism. Finally had a therapy session weeks and weeks into it. The therapist apologized about the delay and said she would like to make it up to me. Guess what? Another cancellation the next week. Dr. Birnbaum is the worst psychiatrist/physician whom I have ever encountered. He makes judgements before having information, accuses you of being a criminal when you are in pain or are grieving, never listens, doesn't understand mental illness or that ever-increasing doses of SSRIs dont help everything. He totally lacks compassion. Runaway from him, lest he make you feel worse than you do before seeing him.
