East 50 barber shop is the number 1 place to get your haircut. Its got a cool laid back vibe, like an old school barber shop. I could go in there and just hang out for hours. The barbers that work there are professional and efficient, they treat you like one of the boys. Jason Maddox has been cutting my hair for over a year now. East 50 barber shop is the only place I trust to give me a fresh fade and beard lineup. Jason is my go to guy to keep me looking fresh.
My son gets his haircuts here and Nate is his guy. He’s 8, but turns into a manly man once we park. All these guys have awesome hair and beards. Inside is a Man Cave full of guys talking guy stuff. Very friendly and cozy.
Nate is a great guy and my son looks forward to seeing him. I chop my own mop, otherwise I would probably see him too if I had the time to be fashionable.
I don’t get back to Carson City very often these days, but every time I do, it reminds me what “home” is supposed to feel like. Highway 50 Barbershop is a perfect example of that. From the moment I walked in, Jason and the crew treated me like an old friend instead of someone passing through.
These guys know their craft. The cut was clean, sharp, and done with the kind of pride you don’t see everywhere anymore. The atmosphere is relaxed, genuine, and full of the kind of good energy that makes you want to stick around even after your haircut is done.
