“Loved this tattoo shop! I am from Ontario and called in advance to make sure I was able to get in while on my vacation. Nick was incredibly helpful and fun to communicate with. Whether it was through email or phone, Nicks customer service was fantastic. I was tattooed by Desmond and he was very nice and did a great job. He was very accommodating when it came to adding a couple more tattoos to my already big list and although cramped for time, he nailed it and was great to talk to! “We had such a wonderful experience at Adept Tattoos and Body Piercing Studio, especially with Bo Bagnell.
He pierced both of our children’s lobes in one appointment, and from start to finish, the experience was incredibly positive. The receptionist and Bo were so patient while we sat in the waiting room and let the kids warm up to the space and atmosphere. They were very nervous and it honestly took close to an hour for them to work through their nerves after we arrived. Not once did anyone rush us.
Bo encouraged them to ask questions, showed them the earrings beforehand, and gave them lots of information — enough to prepare them without scaring them. I really appreciated that he requires the child to clearly tell him themselves that they want their ears pierced before he will proceed. That meant a lot to me as a parent.
He also gave them little techniques to help it hurt less, like taking a deep breath in and blowing out hard like they were blowing out a candle, and wiggling their fingers. My son noticed a Rubik’s Cube on the shelf, and Bo let him mix it up while he was getting pierced and promised to solve it afterward — which he did! My son was so impressed.
After each child finished, he gave them a small Highland cow figurine, which they absolutely loved. My daughter sees hers as a special reminder of how brave she was that day.
Bo answered every question I had and was so friendly and reassuring throughout the whole process.
Four days later, we had an issue where my daughter’s earrings came out and both ears closed within 24 hours. Bo re-pierced them and put in new earrings free of charge, which we were so grateful for.
We will absolutely be back for any future piercings. Highly recommend!“

“My husband had a tattoo done by Lucy Dudko in Feb 2026 at the Nora Bernard location. Lucy listened, consulted about the colours, made sure that he was comfortable with the placement and what she was going to do before she started. She was very gentle and very conscientious regarding sterile technique. Lucy is also a very kind person and was very welcoming. The shop was extremely clean and staff are very welcoming too. And Lindsay, the goddess of everything, has a fantastic play list.“

“Fantastic!! Kirk worked his magic on my 2 (so far) tattoos.

He works by the hour (not by the tattoo or piecework by the job), which I believe is a very fair approach (an hour’s pay, for an hour’s work, the way it should be IMHO).

Also, he does only B&W (or, Black & Grey & White, and all shades in between), so if you’re looking for colour tattoos, you’ll have to go somewhere else. However, IMHO, B&W is the only way to go.

Kirk is actually a sketch artist (and a damn good one!), using primarily charcoal (and maybe graphite too), and if you visit his shop, you will see his drawings hanging on his walls, and they are awesome! And his sketching talent shines through in his tattoos. He uses white ink and various shades of grey ink to make his tattoos *pop*, so they appear to be “in relief” or 3-D. It truly is an amazing talent, he is indeed very gifted.

As a segue, I had a couple colour (red & black) tattoos done by another tattoo artist (who shall remain unnamed), and I was a bit disappointed in the results (one of the tattoos was decent, but the other was terrible, and looked amateurish next to Kirk’s tattoos). I may work with Kirk to attempt a “cover-up” tattoo (though I may have to have it “laser faded” first with one or two laser removal sessions… *sigh*). The other tattoo artist did work faster than Kirk, but he charged by the tattoo (piecework), and in the end, for what I paid, and for the amount of time he spent on it, I ended up paying more (a higher rate by the hour), and the quality was inferior to Kirk’s tattoos. Faster is not always better, although I would not say that Kirk works slowly, he just takes the time to do a professional job.
