Hiltz Shoe Repair rebuilt my father-in-law’s worn-out shoes - they look perfect. Hiltz replaced everything but the leather uppers and now they’ll last forever.
They’re famously busy and open with reduced hours, for a reason: they do great work! It’s worth the effort - I bring them shoes from Ottawa!

Hiltz does great work for an affordable price. Staff are very friendly.
Yes, their hours are sometimes make it hard to drop things off, and it can take a bit to get shoes back when they are busy. However, its not their fault that there are only 2 cobblers in all of NS right now.
Also, don't come here with $40 Zara boots expecting a $10 repair. A set of Vibram soles can cost upwards of $40 - the cobbler is for repairing shoes worth repairing.

Called today to try to understand pricing... Person on the phone seemed to think that was an impossible question to answer, and was rude about it. They're probably closed for the next week too because they have to much work; Probably don't need my business.

Dropped off a pair of dress shoes that were pretty battered and when I got them back I thought they were a different pair all together! They look better than new. Quick service, I’ll definitely be going back.

These folks are the best. Great work and always super friendly service. I have entrusted them with various repairs and refurbishing jobs and they have always delivered beautiful and smart solutions, at very fair prices. Would not recommend, they are only open 3 days a week and when I went to pick up my shoes during their already limited business hours, they were “closed for new business” only doing pick ups. However the door was locked, the phone was not ringing and voicemail was full & nobody was answering the door. Very unprofessional
