Have been seeing Mary-Lynn for the past 3 years to cut and color my hair. She is very professional and great at her trade. This location recently had renovations - new chairs and a comfy fresh feel. Always a great time getting my hair done.Services: Blowouts

After being a customer at chatters for 10 years it's safe to say I will never come back to the Dartmouth crossing location. Very unprofessional and dispointing. My last 4-5 appointments within the last 2 years ever since my original stylist left have been bad experiences. The girls are usually in a rush to finish. I've left there with my hair almost dry but still a little bit wet and not styled but I paid full price for that. I've had a girl not know how to do layers. I didn't have a photo to show her because I assumed she would know how to cut layers in someone's hair. Always have photos of how you want your hair to look. And not once, but twice they have canceled my appointment last minute. The last time my appointment was at 8pm so I understand that was late but imagine waiting all day to get your hair trimmed just for them to call and cancel when you're in the parking lot.. I'm still waiting to hear back from the manager regarding this so instead I'll write a review. I feel like I gave this place way to many chances considering the amount of times they messed up

the website offers specialty perms so I signed up to have get an appointment for a perm. in the notes section I explained that I was interested in a spiral perm. The questionnaire that came after asked about my hair and I answered and sent it back. The cost was surprisingly only quoted for $140. I figured that was a starting point and would be charged a bit more based on the length of my hair. The stylist had no idea that she was doing a spiral and couldn't give me a cost of the service. I should have ran at that point but stayed. 5 and a half hours later my hair was destroyed. There was no curl and the cost skyrocketed to $365. I was mortified. I contacted them a few days later and they sent me to Mic Mac location for a consultation. They offered a free treatment and a redo of the perm. The end result is that my hair is so damaged, nothing short of shaving it off will help. Chatters has not given me the service that I asked for. They had no business performing the first perm. Honesty would have saved my hair.
