“I was handed off to a nice but wholly inexperienced barber and I got a haircut to regret. To their credit, they offered to make the haircut free but that wasn't appealing to me because he'd probably done his best and had sort maybe 45 mins on me at this point. To recap, I got there without an appointment (I didn't realize I needed one) and after waiting my turn, I was sent to a nice, young fellow. He did his best but it just wasn't what I expected. He made an error with my hairline plus I've broken out in razor bumps.

On the plus side, the place is a beauty inside. The ambiance is just so sweet. I really wanted to love this place.

If you’re looking to hear stories of the past while Vincente Fernandez plays in the background, this is the place.This is a classic Mexican American barber shop with only a few of these still remaining. 12 Dollars for a regular haircut, 15 for a flat top with only one man, who goes by the name of Jose, who is cutting everyone’s hair. Everyone here is a friend even the new comers, I was welcomed. It’s a small location 22 ft in length and 14 ft in width so confrontation is inevitable. When my turn came to have a cut I was left happy and content with my new look. I recommend this shop if you’re willing to explore the hidden gems of El Paso.“

“Great place to get a cut. Being retired military I usually take a drive to Fort Bliss to get my haircut, but needed a place that I could rely on closer to home. Stopped in no appointment at Big City and was able to see Manny who did a great job. I was lucky to get in as a walk-in. I definitely recommend.

Jessica is probably one of the cleanest barbers out there and does cuts for kids and adults in her chair. As someone who lives out of town, I legit plan my haircuts around my visits to EL Paso so I can get a haircut when I arrive and/or before I leave back to Austin. My fave thing though is that they offer beard cleanups and have a hair washing station so you can leave ready to go.“
